Question 48

Is Halloween just harmless fun?

Wyatt Coats, a former witch who now preaches Jesus, says no. In “Real WITCHCRAFT In Halloween stores?” he films the little girls’ section of a Spirit Halloween and then a real witchcraft store, and the same things are for sale in both. The Bible never mentions Halloween by name. It is clear about witchcraft, and about not copying how other nations served their gods.

What he found in the stores

He opens by putting two clips side by side: one recorded in the little girls’ section of a Spirit Halloween, the other inside a real witchcraft store. In the witch shop, a woman tells him she started very young, learned to astral travel very young, and that it’s all very real.

His claim is that this is witchcraft being done to our children, even through the characters that seem less demonic, like princesses and superheroes, and that fantasy is the legal right the enemy is looking for, to have possession of your children or to be glorified by them. He’s careful to say he doesn’t want to scare anybody and isn’t trying to be legalistic. He just wants to show how the enemy is attacking families through the costumes we wear and through celebrating Halloween.

Spirit Halloween is selling pentagrams to the children, next to a plethora of demonic things that pour out death and celebrate and worship death. He says the masks give the enemy the ability to manifest on our children and on us.

The fight to make the video

He says the spiritual warfare while making it was wild: his body getting pulled at and waking him up all night, crazy visions and dreams, witches attacking his spirit and mind in intricate ways, trying to make him indecisive and wear him out.

The first witchcraft shop he went to, a New Age one, for the first time ever wouldn’t let him film and kicked him out harshly. The second shop was better for the video, because they call themselves witches and put on witch events and witch communions.

His two main points: how simple characters like princesses and superheroes can be used for demons to have intimacy with your children, and how the symbols and sigils are extremely demonic, a defilement to celebrate, wear and put on our kids.

The pentagram

The Wiccan pentagram

When people see a pentagram, most assume it’s Wiccan. In Wicca, he explains, it stands for the five points of nature and one spirit, a sorcery practice in a ritual pattern, meant to ritualize the points of nature and your spirit to open a portal into yourself. That’s how people astral project and do all sorts of witchcraft involving nature.

The Freemason five-point star

The one he really wants people to understand is harder to find. You’d only learn about it from someone who practiced it. He calls it the Masonic Luciferian defilement ritual, the five major folds or points of defilement: “the granddaddy of all pentagrams that all other pentagrams celebrate,” summoned and created through Lucifer himself through the knowledge of Freemasonry. He’s making a separate video on Freemasons running the country, Aleister Crowley, defilement rituals, and how our day-to-day lives have been consumed in them.

Aleister Crowley basically made these rituals public, and he practiced them to five major points:

  1. Worship of self.

  2. Worship of false gods.

  3. Sorcery: chemical combinations that become addictions or manipulations, like food, drugs, pharmakeia, heroin and meth. Crowley used heroin and cocaine.

  4. Magic: being entertained, pleasured, enticed, gaining knowledge from, or seduced by demons or spirits. That’s why, he says, Disney calls itself “the magical world,” full of spirits and wisps, talking toys and talking animals. Practicing magic means engaging with devils.

  5. Sex, lust and trauma.

He says this is a ritual someone does to someone else to mark them, the way the beast wants to mark people: get them to worship themselves and false gods, get them addicted so they can be controlled from a distance, get them hanging out with and entertained by demons, and then traumatize them sexually. “It’s the type of stuff they do on Epstein Islands”.

He knows it from the inside. He was deeply involved, knew the properties of the ritual, and understood how to let demons deeper into himself through sex magic. “These symbols are defilements. They are the crushers of nations.” That five-point ritual, he says, might as well be the mark of the beast. And “When you put a pentagram on your kids, you’re saying defiled,” which is worse than a hazardous sign.

The five-point star is part of Freemasonry’s own world too. Patrick, a Free Will Baptist on YouTube, explains that the Order of the Eastern Star is the women’s auxiliary of the Masonic lodge, founded in 1868, open to female relatives of Masons and run under the lodge’s authority, with a Master Mason required at every meeting, and that members gather in their five-point star and sing.

The Bible backs up Wyatt’s point about sorcery and drugs. The word translated “witchcraft” in “Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred” (Galatians 5:20) is the Greek pharmakeia. In Revelation the world refuses to repent “of their sorceries” (Revelation 9:21), and “by thy sorceries were all nations deceived” (Revelation 18:23).

Fantasy and “magic”

His last point is about the characters, like Spider-Man and Elsa, and how the devil could be massively using fantasy to possess and defile our children.

Magic, he says again, is being glorified, entertained, seduced, pleasured or enticed by devils and demons from the pit of hell, these fallen angels. When Crowley summoned demons, he was having enticements, conversations and pleasures from the spirits he summoned through these defilement rituals. So if our children are being enticed by these spirits, they’re practicing magic.

He brings up the Old Testament: people argue that God wiped out nations because they were practicing dark things, but what we’re letting raise our kids, and what we’re letting our kids dress in, is the dark thing. These spirits just know how to show up in a way that looks appropriate or exciting.

His story

Before Jesus ripped His hand into his life and pulled him out of that darkness, he says, he was consumed by witchcraft, a demonically possessed lunatic, out of his mind and dangerous, and practicing defilement rituals.

After the rituals and the sex magic, the devil would send him on “contracts” for married Christian women. He wasn’t supposed to sleep with them or even touch them. He was there to create a fantasy. He’d use the name of Jesus, tell them he was a Christian and that Jesus is Lord, and while talking about Jesus he’d flirt and project lust into them very powerfully, so that after they parted there was just enough lust and fantasy for his spirits to use his image to enter her thoughts, her dreams, and her relationship with her husband. “That easy.”

His point: if you lean on fantasy and say these characters are no big deal, they can be a very big deal.

What the Bible says

  • Witchcraft is an abomination. “There shall not be found among you... an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

  • Don’t copy how the nations served their gods. “Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them... saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God” (Deuteronomy 12:30-31).

  • You can’t sit at both tables. “The things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils... Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils” (1 Corinthians 10:20-21).

  • Expose it. “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11). A commenter under the video quoted this one.

  • Light and darkness don’t mix. “What communion hath light with darkness?... come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing” (2 Corinthians 6:14-17). “Abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

  • Don’t call it harmless. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light” (Isaiah 5:20).

  • Guard the kids. “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck” (Matthew 18:6). “Train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6).

  • New believers got rid of it. In Ephesus, people who had practiced magic “brought their books together, and burned them before all men” (Acts 19:19).

You don’t have to be afraid

Wyatt ends with Jesus, not fear. He talks about how much of our time we rest in the enemy, in the “magical world” of Disney and everything on TV, and says the answer is simple repentance and just choosing Jesus: “Give Jesus your rest tonight. Give Jesus your all tonight. Call on him. Share your faith. Serve the Lord.” He also announced baptisms at the Santa Monica Pier on Halloween at 2:00, and street evangelism the next day at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles.

“He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13). “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Instead, “whatsoever things are true... whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely... think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

From the comments

  • An ex-witch of 12 years thanked him for it.

  • Another former witch wrote that they hate Halloween now, that some family looks at them like they’re crazy for saying so, and that the five points he described had them “in a chokehold”: sex magic, tarot, blood magic and drugs.

  • A parent said that last Halloween they prayed for God to show them if He didn’t want their family celebrating it. That night, while the kids trick-or-treated, a relative was upstairs doing witchcraft rituals, and the night went badly. Their words: “No more Halloween for us!!!”

  • Others asked him to break down more of the everyday things people do that are defilement rituals without realizing it, and one wrote, “I didn’t even realize I was doing this.”

  • Another prayed, “Lord open our eyes to this glorification of darkness and let us feel your heart, that you have BETTER for us!”

Say it like this

“The Halloween store sells the same pentagrams the witch shop sells. The Bible says don’t learn how the nations served their gods and copy it, and you can’t drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. You don’t have to be scared of any of it, because Jesus already delivered you from the power of darkness. You just don’t have to dress your kids up in it.”
