Holy Spirit, I need You right now. Open my eyes and open my heart. Shine Your light into the dark places of my heart and my life.

Show me where I’ve grown complacent with You, where I’ve let my guard down and opened doors I need to close. Show me anything that’s stealing my affection from You, every slow drift and every slow fade, and turn me back to You, Jesus.

You’re all I need. You’re the only one who can satisfy the longing in my heart. Where I’ve grown lukewarm, set a fire in me again, and let it keep burning. Where I’m up and down in my faith, make me steady. Turn my eyes away from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, and open them again to the beauty of Jesus. Give me a hunger for Your Word and Your presence like I used to have.

The things I do in private that nobody else sees, You see. I renounce them and I turn from them right now. Wash me in the blood of Jesus. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” You’re better. You’re the greater thing.

Fill me again with Your Holy Spirit. It doesn’t have to be loud. Meet me in the quiet, because my heart is longing for more of You. Let the rivers of living water flow into every part of my life. Heal my emotions and heal my body. Where my heart has grown hard and cold, melt it. Where I don’t understand what’s happening, I choose to trust You instead of letting bitterness in.

Order my steps and make my path clear. Quiet every other voice, because Your sheep hear Your voice. You have my heart, my mind, my tomorrow and my yes. And if this isn’t a new season, help me be faithful right where I am, because there’s always a future for faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
